Actress and Singer
Some basic info would be that I pretty much love all things living (including creative work). I love creating in general, but especially through music and story telling. I've been telling stories ever since I could talk, being the youngest of three I had to keep my family on their toes and entertained. The stories I told were deemed "whoppers" by my Mom and that has followed me throughout my life. I have an active imagination. As for singing, I began before I could form words... I belted all through the night until my Dad walked me around the block in a stroller.
My first role was in the first grade: I played THE old woman who swallowed a fly - in The Old Woman Who Swallowed A Fly. She in fact, did not die. In case you were wondering. Highschool is really where my love of theatre and acting took off. My school did a revue of sorts every year where we would stage different songs from musicals or movies. It was called VOB (Vikings on Broadway). Melding both acting and singing something just clicked in my brain and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
I was not an independant infant, but I am an independant woman. Right now I live with The Rehearsal Club (TRC) in NYC and I audition, and support myself through a few odd jobs that I happen to really enjoy (coaching and dogsitting). Life is good and I'm very happy with the path I'm on.
The best way to get to know me is through working with me! But since you're looking at my website, I figure you're trying to figure out if you should or not. You should, and here's why:
- I am hardworking
- I am smart
- I have a great voice
- I have a unique perspective
- I am a joy to be around
- I am very goofy
- I have depth
- I am passionate
- I am kind
- I am thoughtful
- I know myself
